Now that the Inspection and Appraisal period has ended, it’s safe to put the closing date on your calendar. The sellers and buyers attend closing with their agents, along with a title officer to sign all the paperwork.
There is a pause in the middle of this process when the title officer leaves the room to send all the paperwork to the buyer’s lender. The lender then reviews the documents for correct signatures. This is a great time for buyers and sellers to exchange keys and pertinent information.
